Illegal Parking Raid In Front of Kebayoran Lama Station Protested

A number of motorcycle taxi drivers protested illegal parking raid that held along Jalan Masjid Al Huda, Kebayoran Lama Utara Urban Village, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, precisely in front of Kebayoran Lama Train Station, Monday (11/9).

Traffic jam here is not because of motorcycle taxi drivers, but it's by many minivans waiting for passengers here

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com's observation, tens of joint officers from Transportation Sub-Dept, Satpol PP, Army and Police raided public minivans and motorcycle taxi drivers who stopped at the roadside. Yet the raid gets protest. 

"Traffic jam here is not because of motorcycle taxi drivers, but it's by many minivans waiting for passengers here," told Zaki, one of the motorcycle taxi drivers, Monday (11/9).

Head of Controlling and Operation Section for South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Dept, Slamet Dahlan told the protest action happened due to misunderstanding between the officers and the drivers.

"It's just misunderstanding and actually citizens know that they violate the rules they just can't accept to be controlled," he uttered.
